Gothic Brick in Church Renovation
Renovation of Church Elements in Krzywin with the Use of Gothic Brick.
Restoration of elements of the church is underway in Krzywin (10 Church Street, 64-010), using original Gothic brick, in keeping with the historic character of the building. The work is being carried out in observance of conservation principles, and a single-phase technique was used for the brickwork, which allows faithful reproduction of the original architectural solutions.
The renovation includes, among other things, fragments of the façade, buttresses and structural details that require special precision and the use of materials that correspond to epochal requirements. The Gothic brick used in this project is characterized by its irregular shape, rich colors and historical character, perfectly matching the atmosphere of medieval sacred building.
This is an example of care for architectural heritage and the right approach to historic preservation.
